CHOOSING AN ELECTRIC FORKLIFT

Choose capacity around the load, aisle and daily work.

Start with the heaviest loaded pallet and its dimensions. Rated capacity applies at a specified load centre; long or uneven loads and attachments can change the capacity available. Confirm the capacity for your chosen mast, attachment and required lift height before selecting a model.

Compare the 1.2–1.6 tonne, 2–3 tonne and 3.5–7 tonne groups above, then check the route: pallet entry, turning space, rack clearances, doorway height and working surface. Truck width alone does not tell you the aisle space needed to turn with a load. Compare the 3 ton, 4 ton and 5 ton electric forklifts against the same requirements.

For lighter-load comparisons, start with the 1.5-ton LT-CPD15 and check its configured capacity against the same load and lift height.
